Here is a new trailer for the newly restored RULES OF THE GAME by Jean Renoir. The film is brilliant, brilliant, brilliant! Why did it take me so long to find this? Amazingly I have that on DVD and heven’t gotten around to watching it yet. Maybe tonight’s the night
Rules of the Game is (though I also love “Grand Illusion” and “Boudu Saved from Drowning”) my favorite movie of all time. The restored copies available from the Criterion Collection are delightful.
