Catch a falling star, er seagull

May 4, 2007

Here’s a song that I knew and sung as a little boy. But this is a jazzed up version from Perry Como’s 1958 TV show that just might be categorized as post-modern.

Catch a falling star an’ put it in your pocket,
Never let it fade away!
Catch a falling star an’ put it in your pocket,
Save it for a rainy day!

For love may come an’ tap you on the shoulder,
Some star-less night!
Just in case you feel you wanna’ hold her,
You’ll have a pocketful of starlight!

But then if you’d rather catch a seagull:
1) Bury a person in the sand
2) Throw food on top of him
3) Grab a seagull
