It sounds delightful.

I really prize my friendships with older folks. Had a birthday dinner with Tupper Turner on Sunday, who turned 82. His considerably older wife Harriet (we won't say her actual age, as she asked me to keep it in confidence, after having me believe, for a while and without difficulty, that she was 6 years younger than she really is) showed up at the restaurant about an hour late; she admits to having a phobia about other peoples' driving, so insists on getting to and fro herself.

Tupper was Classical A&R at Capitol/Angel for years, and also was conductor Alfred Wallenstein's personal assistant at the L.A. Phil. Harriet was active in politics for years, behind the scenes, in the L.A. area.

Tupper is also a songwriter, and has among his credits the bawdy novelty number, popularized by Rusty Warren, "Bounce Your Boobies", from which he continues to receive royalties.

I am not making this up.
