		<description>A friend of mine who has a virtual forest of persimmon trees made me some persimmon bread.  I think that she used a banana bread recipe and substituted persimmons for the bananas.  It was FANTASTIC--kind of what you would imagine fruitcake should taste like, and absolutely nothing like I imagined it would be.  Since you have so many, you might give it a try!  She also makes persimmon wine, but I don&#039;t think that I&#039;ll be trying any of that in the near future.

I think that you are supposed to wait for them to drop to the ground rather than picking them (or is it the other way around?) I&#039;m sure that you will find experts who can tell you.  You might even find a recipe on line.</description>
