Frankie Laine sang Rawhide. We lost him last year (the obit link in the LA Times was what I attempted---it's easily found in a Google search). I also highly prized his rendition of the clear parody song, the title track complete with whip cracks, at the opening of Blazing Saddles. Frankie Laine sang Rawhide. We lost him last year (the obit link in the LA Times was what I attempted—it’s easily found in a Google search).

I also highly prized his rendition of the clear parody song, the title track complete with whip cracks, at the opening of Blazing Saddles.
