As a classical composer who is interesting in the "trends" of music, I find your list particularly interesting in the style shifts over the decades. I think there is something to be said about marketing a song in terms of its popularity, but surely in this list it wouldn't be in the top 3 if it didn't have something else going for it. - something I'm going to have to come back and review again and again.
