Hey Roger,

Moonbug talkin' atcha!

First up: thanks for your kind words about my weblog and the doodles I publish on it. Sorry about the lack of personal information about me there -- but there's really not much to tell anyway, except maybe for the fact that I'm Belgian, and run another weblog which is more Zappa-related over at Kill Ugly Radio. Am a huge Rufus Wainwright fan as well, which is how I discovered your pages. I love the thoughtful, analytical way in which you write about him. Please do keep it up!

Yours enviously (you're attending the NYC Carnegy Hall gig, right? ;) ),

Puck: I haven't seen that movie, but I'll definitely seek it out. I'm thinking I should check out Zappa's movie "200 Motels" -- maybe life is different now, but I have good memories of that album.

Andy: I'm thinking I need to get a CD of Hot Rats; I still have my LP from high school!

Frank Zappa fans might be interested in the movie Rock School. If you can get past the pretensious posturing from the guy who runs the school, the kids are pretty awe inpiring in learning to play Zappa music culminating in a concert at the Zappanale in Bad Doberan Germany.

I swear to God I wore out that Hot Rats LP. I would play "Peaches en Regalia" (my favorite Zappa piece) over and over and over again.

I never listened to his later stuff. I may go back some time and listen to his guitar solo work...
