"Speaking of which, I wish Clint Eastwood wood stick to acting and directing and leave composing music to those who have devoted their lives to it. "

"I know what you're thinking. Did he play six chords or only five? Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement, I've kinda lost track myself. Being as this is a Mutterakkord, with 12 notes and 11 ascending intervals, the most powerful chord in the world, and would blow you head CLEAN OFF, you've got to ask yourself one question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?"

Brad, you've gotta rent the series, I know you'll love it as much as I did. Maybe love is the wrong word, but it fills in a lot of gaps and will be something I can come back and visit from time to time.

Jan, I'm with you: I've not been a big fan of Paul's "classical" stuff. But everyone has the desire to grow artistically.

When I was a small child we used to visit an elderly oboist and his harpist sisters (Leon, Sidonie and Eugenie Goossens), and they all loved Paul. The rest of the Beatles annoyed the hell out of them; I guess the musical 'errors' made them wince.

Paul's operas are reportedly a bit of a dog's breakfast though, and largely written by others...I'm afraid I've never sought them out to check

That Paul/Stockhausen connection is a great surprise to me. I thought Tomorrow Never Knows (which still gives me goosebumps and near out-of-body flashes) was likely pure John.
