Not to squash or marginalize his contribution, but I'm confused about how this money will be used and managed? I read the press release and your post. It's a bit ambiguous. Moreover, 30M, if you looked at it as venture capital in the classic sense, seems rather small for in context of educational structure and needs. What's in plan? Hopefully, it can be used as a springboard for additional contributions? My guess maybe 100M?

But congrats for beating out the 1999 Flora L. Thornton's$25 million contribution to USC. May I suggest that UCLA take the windfall of the $5 million dollar difference and try and bring back the Arnold Schoenberg Center to L.A. which USC so arrogantly dismissed and renamed to Monk? Uncle Arnie may be considered the Devil by some when taken out of context, but he certainly contributed a great deal to both campuses development. I guess I'm still pissed off at USC and should have transferred...what can I say...

Oh yeah, congrats Roger...!
