Dead links

I don’t know about you but I am shocked by the number of bookmarks I have in my browswer that have become dead links. Just think in five years: will most of the URLs we have now be out of date? Archive.org comes to the rescue (and likely others I don’t know) who keeps track of our internet past and present but is archive really more like a cyber-akashic record or a Santa Claus who sees you when you’re sleeping?
