Mellow yellow on steroids

August 9, 2007

I’m sure you’ve read those little articles that show how various combinations of vinegar, baking soda, eye of newt and wing of bat can clean almost anything in your house. Back in the 1960s, there was a craze to scrape banana peels and smoke it, in hopes of getting high. I don’t remember trying that, but I’m fairly sure it never caught on. Donovan then came out with his song “Mellow Yellow” which we were sure was about smoking banana peels. (“Quite right slick…”)

Now today, I find out that bananas can help you with those pesky scratched CD skips you have. I imagine it would work for DVDs as well, but it doesn’t say so. Watch this.
